The Gulf Coast Center endeavors to contract with providers to serve Galveston and Brazoria County citizens who have mental illness, mental retardation and substance use issues. Contracts for community-based services as well as other goods and services are generally acquired through a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Bid (RFB) or the Open Enrollment process.

| While the Center does publish its Request for Applications at least once every two years as required, Qualified providers are encouraged to submit applications at any time in one or more of the following open enrollment categories for which they are qualified.

- Day Habilitation
- Employment Assistance
- Habilitation (Site-based)
- Personal Assistance
- Respite Care
- Supported Employment
- Community Support
