- 18 years of age or older; and
- Able to attend at least 12 hours per week for eight weeks; and
- Criteria is met for the definition of chemical substance abuse, as detailed in the DSM IV, or the most current revision of the diagnostic and statistical manual for professional practitioners; in a self-help fellowship; and
- Client is coherent, rational, and oriented for treatment; and
- Client is able to comprehend and understand the materials presented; and
- Client is able to participate in the rehabilitation/treatment process; and
- There is documentation that the client expresses an interest to work toward rehabilitation/treatment goals
The Intensive Program consists of individual and family counseling along with education four times per week three hours each session. Group counseling sessions give the opportunity to learn to express feelings in a healthy, productive manner and to give and receive constructive, supportive feedback on dealing with daily issues of sobriety and recovery. One hour of individual counseling per week is provided.
